Air pollution effects the health and quality of life of everyone in the Roanoke region. As summer approaches, so does ozone season, when car exhaust and heat can combine to form heavy amounts of unhealthy ground-level ozone. Do your part to improve our air by taking the pledge to Commute Clean on May 15! Pledge to use alternative transportation - biking, walking, carpooling or public transit - and be eligible for great prizes including bike gear, a Giant Boulder Bike from Cardinal Bicycle, monthly passes on SmartWay and Valley Metro buses, gift certificates, coffee, and more!
